Day Two
On this day, the family of the Sun and the Celestial deities are given honor.
Helios, the Sun God is honored first and foremost. He is thanked and encouraged upon his way to the underworld. His vigilant eyes upon us, he is thanked for his life giving power, his vigilance, and his light.
Selene, goddess of the Moon, is honored as lighter of darkness and given her due on this their day.
Eos, goddess of the dawn, is celebrated at dawn and the colors of the day should reflect her rosy grace. Keeper of the gates, she lights the sky in hues of red, yellow, and pink.
Take time this day to bring to mind the celestial aspects of the Great Gods. Of Hekate as moon goddess and torch bearer. Of Aphrodite as the evening star. Of Apollo as a god of light. Of Artemis, the virgin waxing moon.
Above all, this is a day for honoring those deities who watch over us, who have kept us in their light in day and night, above all, Helios, the Sun God.
